ICT Receives Complaint on Chowdhury Alam's Enforced Disappearance

The International Crimes Tribunal (ICT) prosecution received a formal complaint on Monday regarding the enforced disappearance of BNP leader Chowdhury Alam, who was abducted from Farmgate's Indira Road area in 2010.

Alam’s son, Abu Sayed Chowdhury, filed the written complaint against 18 individuals, including Awami League leader Mofazzal Hossain Chowdhury Maya, at the ICT's chief prosecutor's office this morning.

The accused also include former military officials, such as Major General (sacked) Ziaul Ahsan and Rear Admiral Md Sohayel, among others.

Chowdhury Alam was abducted by plainclothes security personnel on June 25, 2010, around 7:30 pm from in front of Kalindi Apartment in the capital's Farmgate area, and he remains missing.
