Netanyahu Addresses Nation Amid Death Rumours, War Costs

Amid widespread rumours about his safety, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu delivered a video message without appearing in public. Facing accusations of war crimes, Netanyahu spoke about Israel’s ongoing conflict with Iran and stressed the enormous financial costs of the war. He said the government plans to announce a special budget to cover these expenses.
“There is no question that we had to go to war,” Netanyahu said. “But the main issue is the massive cost involved—an enormous amount of money.”
In the video, he explained that a special defense budget would be required, estimating several billion shekels to fund the war effort.
The Israeli Health Ministry reported that in the past ten days, 2,339 people were injured by drones and missiles launched from Iran. Of these, 95 remain hospitalized, and one patient is in critical condition.
In the past 24 hours alone, 191 people received hospital treatment following Iranian attacks, according to the ministry.
Netanyahu’s address underlines both the human toll of the conflict and the substantial financial resources Israel expects to mobilize in the coming weeks.
