US Secretary of State Marco Rubio has said Washington “strongly condemns” Houthi attacks on Saudi Arabia, including the Saturday attack on King Khalid International airport in Riyadh, which the Houthis have not claimed responsibility for.

“These reprehensible attacks demonstrate a blatant disregard for innocent civilian life. They must stop now,” Rubio said in a social media post on Saturday.

Saudi authorities said the Saturday attack killed 12 people, including one US national. Rubio confirmed that the attack killed an American, reports AL Jazeera.
