Newly designed banknotes will be available at bank branches across the capital starting Monday. Members of the public will be able to collect these updated notes from various banks.

The redesigned currency notes now feature images of important national landmarks, replacing the previous portrait of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. These changes follow the developments of the July uprising.

The central bank's Motijheel office began limited distribution of 20, 50, and 1,000 taka notes on Sunday, with supplies also being sent to other banks.

Due to limited stock, the new banknotes are unlikely to be distributed to district towns outside Dhaka before the Eid holidays.
