Bangladesh withdraws 5 envoys from foreign missions

The government of Bangladesh has withdrawn four ambassadors appointed on a contractual basis from their posts in Portugal, Poland, Mexico, and the Maldives, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced on Sunday.


The Ambassadors- Dr M. Mahfuzul Haque, Md Mainul Islam, M Mushfiqul Fazal (Ansarey) and Dr Md Nazmul Islam - have been transferred to the headquarters of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Dhaka.

Besides, Bangladesh’s High Commissioner to the United Kingdom, Abida Islam, has also been withdrawn and transferred to the ministry’s headquarters, reports UNB. 

All five envoys have been instructed to report to the headquarters.
