Two motorcyclists killed in Sylhet road crash

Two motorcyclists were killed in a road accident in Fenchuganj upazila of Sylhet on Monday afternoon.


The accident happened around 4:30pm in the Khilpara area when a microbus coming from the opposite direction hit the motorcycle.

Both riders died instantly at the scene.

The victims were identified as Sufiyan Islam Nahid, 20, son of Masuk Mia, and Mohammad Sayem Ahmed, 14, son of Shawkat Ali, both from Char Mohammadpur in South Surma, Sylhet.

Eyewitnesses said the motorcyclists were heading towards Fenchuganj when the microbus collided with them, reports UNB. 

Fenchuganj police recovered the bodies and sent them to Sylhet MAG Osmani Medical College Hospital morgue.

Moniruzzaman Khan, officer-in-charge of Fenchuganj Police Station, confirmed the incident and said, “An investigation is underway. Authorities are trying to contact the victims’ families.”
