Three Killed in Tragic Road Crash in Bogura

Three passengers tragically lost their lives, and three others sustained serious injuries when a speeding truck collided with a battery-powered autorickshaw in Dupchanchia upazila of Bogura on Friday night.


Dupchanchia Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Faridul Islam confirmed that the deadly accident occurred at approximately 8:30 PM near the Dupchanchia Mail Bus Stand on the Naogaon-Bogura regional road.

According to the OC, the autorickshaw’s axle broke as it entered the road, and moments later, a truck traveling at high speed from Naogaon to Bogura, carrying cattle, crashed into it.

“Three individuals were killed instantly at the scene, while the three others were critically injured. They were rushed to the hospital. The victims were on their way home after working at a local tile factory,” OC Islam said.

The deceased were identified as Mozahar Ali, 60, son of Abdul Aziz from Baliadighi in Gobindapur union; Sadiqul Islam, son of Md Saiful from the same area; and Shahidul Islam, 60, son of Mansur from Santahar in Naogaon.

The bodies have been sent to the morgue for autopsy, and authorities are working to locate the truck driver, who fled the scene immediately after the crash.
