Two Children Killed in Tragic Noakhali Road Accident

Two young children tragically lost their lives, and another was injured, when a truck collided with a bicycle on Maizdi Natun Hat Road in the Sadar upazila of Noakhali district.


The victims were identified as Arafat, 6, the son of Abul Kalam from Faridabad village, and Asma Akter, 6, the daughter of Saddam Hossain from Baikunthapur village.

The incident occurred at around 8 am when the sand-laden truck struck the bicycle carrying Abul Kalam and the three children, who were on their way to Darussalam Islamia Alia Madrasha. According to Muktar Hossain, sub-inspector at Sudharam Model Police Station, the force of the crash left the three individuals injured.

The victims were rushed to Noakhali General Hospital, where doctors declared Arafat and Asma dead upon arrival. The third child is being treated for their injuries.

The truck driver fled the scene immediately after the crash, and police are currently searching for him. Authorities have not yet made any arrests.
