Two Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) examinees were killed in a road accident in the 300 Feet Jalsiri area of Rupganj upazila in Narayanganj on Sunday.

The accident occurred around 12 noon when their motorcycle lost control and collided with a private car, leaving the two youths critically injured.

They were later taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital, where they died while undergoing treatment.

The deceased were identified as Rifat, son of Amir Hossain of Banchharampur upazila in Brahmanbaria, and Sabbir, son of Nur Islam from the same area. Both were HSC candidates.

Sabbir was a student of Khilgaon Model College, while Rifat studied at Banchharampur Degree College, sources said.

Monir Hossain, a passerby who helped take them to the hospital, said the two were riding a motorcycle in the 300 Feet area when they lost control due to high speed and crashed into a private car.

They were first taken to Kurmitola General Hospital and later shifted to Dhaka Medical College Hospital, where doctors declared them dead.

Inspector Md Faruk, in-charge of the police camp at Dhaka Medical College Hospital, confirmed the deaths, citing doctors, reports UNB.

He said the bodies have been kept at the hospital morgue and the matter has been informed to the concerned police station.
