Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said Russia’s refusal to agree to a ceasefire is complicating efforts to end Moscow’s more than three-year-long conflict.

“Russia continues to rebuff numerous calls for a ceasefire and has yet to decide when it will stop the killing. This makes the situation more difficult,” Zelensky wrote in a social media post late Saturday.

He added that if Moscow lacks the will to halt its strikes, achieving lasting peaceful coexistence with its neighbours would demand far greater effort.
