Covered van driver shot dead in Narsingdi

Narsingdi, Apr 14 – A 50-year-old covered van driver was shot dead by miscreants at Kumartek in Narsingdi municipality area on Sunday night. 

The deceased was identified as Ahsan Ullah, son of Gias Uddin of the village. He used to work as a driver of a covered van of Pran Industrial Park in Ghorashal area of Narsingdi. 

Quoting witnesses, Manir Hossain, officer-in-charge of Palash Police Station, said two miscreants riding on a motorbike opened fire on Ahsan around 10:30 pm while he was sitting at a tea stall, leaving him dead on the spot. 

Previous enmity might be the reason behind the murder, said police. - UNB
