Couple burnt in gas explosion in N’ganj
The injured were Shamim Mia, 29, and his wife Jahanara, 25, hailing from Barishal district. They are tenants of the house.
A man and his wife sustained burn injuries in a fire following an explosion from a leakage in the gas at a house in Rupganj upazila of Narayanganj early Saturday morning.

Inspector Mostafizur of Bhulta Police Outpost said the incident took place in a house at Kauarchar Noyapara area of Golakandail union of the upazila.
He said that local heard a loud explosion from the house early in the morning. Later, they rescued the injured and took them to a local private hospital.
The couple was later transferred to Sheikh Hasina National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery, the official added.
Police suspected that the fire might have originated following an explosion from a leakage in the gas.
