Unidentified man found dead on Dhaka Expressway
Police recovered the body of an unidentified man with his face wrapped in scotch tape from the Dhaka Elevated Expressway in the city’s Banani area on Friday morning.
According to police, motorists noticed the body lying on the expressway and informed the police.
Later, a team from Banani Police Station went to the spot and recovered the body. Scotch tape was wrapped around the man’s face.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Banani Police Station Md Mohammad Faridul Islam said the body was sent to Dhaka Medical College Hospital for autopsy.
He said they recovered the body from the Dhaka Airport-bound lane of the expressway near the Army Stadium around 9:45am.
“We suspect that someone killed him and dumped the body on the elevated expressway,” OC said, adding that police were examining CCTV footage from the area, reports UNB.
He said legal proceedings were initiated to identify the deceased and arrest those responsible.
