Body of another woman recovered in Kalapara



Patuakhali: Police have recovered the body of a woman named Farzana (19) in Kalapara, Patuakhali. Her body was recovered from Chandupara housing in remote Lalua Union of the upazila on Saturday (May 2) afternoon.

The deceased Farzana is the daughter of Nazim Peyada of Itbaria village in Tiakhali Union. Her husband is Nazmul Faraji, father is Md. Kamal Faraji. They have a three-year-old daughter in their married life.

According to local sources, there was a long-standing dispute between the husband and wife over talking to another young man on the mobile phone. A few days ago, Farzana went to her father's house regarding this. Later, the matter was resolved with the initiative of the two families and she was brought back to her husband's house. On the day of the incident, they again argued over the same issue. Nazmul Faraji informed his in-laws over the phone. After a while, Farzana entered her room and closed the door. Later, the police recovered her body from that room. Earlier, the police recovered the body of a female constable named Urmi from the Badurtali area of the municipal city.

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Kalapara Police Station Md. Nazrul Islam said that after receiving the information, the police went to the spot and recovered the body. Preparations are underway to send the body to the morgue for autopsy. Legal proceedings are being taken in this incident. - Gofran Palash
