A man and his son were found dead in separate locations at Tongi of Gazipur on Sunday, both bearing injury marks.

The deceased were identified as Sohel Hossain and his younger son Sakibul Hasan Soyeb.

Police detained Sohel’s elder son Sohan Hasan for questioning over the incident. Sohel had been living at his Bonamla residence along with the two sons.

According to police and locals, the body of Sakibul was found inside their home in the morning, while that of his father near a rail line in the area.

Police recovered the bodies and sent those to Shaheed Tajuddin Ahmad Medical College Hospital morgue for autopsy.

Officer-in-Charge of Tongi East Police Station Md Mehdi Hasan said they recovered the bodies on information and both victims had injuries on their heads and other body parts, reports UNB.

He, however, said the exact cause of death is still unknown. “An investigation is underway. The elder son is being interrogated. Legal procedures are in progress,” he said.
