Dhaka Mass Transit Company Ltd (DMTCL) has announced that metro rail services will remain suspended on Eid-ul-Fitr day. The announcement was made on DMTCL's official website today, confirming the service disruption for the first day of the religious celebration.

While metro services will not operate on Eid day, the DMTCL confirmed that the metro will remain fully functional on all other days during the Eid holidays, ensuring minimal disruption for commuters.

The statement also clarified that after the Eid festivities, the metro service will resume according to its regular schedule.

Eid-ul-Fitr, the most significant religious festival for Muslims, is expected to be celebrated on either March 31 or April 1, depending on the sighting of the moon.
