PM joins meeting on Dhaka public transport management

Prime Minister Tarique Rahman today joined a meeting on public transport management in Dhaka city.


The meeting began this morning at the Cabinet Division of Bangladesh Secretariat with the Prime Minister in the chair, said PM's Deputy Press Secretary Jahidul Islam Rony.

Road Transport and Bridges Minister Shaikh Rabiul Alam, State Minister for LGRD and Cooperatives Mir Shahe Alam, State Minister for Road Transport and Bridges Habibur Rashid, Principal Secretary to the Prime Minister ABM Abdus Sattar, Local Government Division Secretary Md. Shahidul Hassan, Executive Director of Dhaka Transport Coordination Authority (DTCA) Mohammad Mashiur Rahman, Road Transport and Highways Division Secretary Dr Mohammed Ziaul Haque and Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Commissioner Mosleh Uddin Ahmed, among others, attended the meeting.

Various issues relating to Dhaka’s public transport management, ensuring road safety and addressing the existing disorder in the public transport system are being discussed at the meeting, reports BSS.
