Khagrachhari is set to experience a significant influx of tourists during the nine-day Eid-ul-Fitr holidays, with tourism entrepreneurs optimistic about a thriving season.

Tourism businesses are eagerly anticipating a boost in revenue as the region attracts visitors from across the country. Uttam Kumar Majumder, manager of the Khagrachhari Tourism Motel, shared, "This Eid, we expect a large number of tourists to visit Khagrachhari. Many hotels and motels in the city are already fully booked. If everything goes smoothly, we are hopeful that the business will be strong during the holidays."

Industry experts predict that between 100,000 and 150,000 tourists will visit Khagrachhari and its popular destination, Sajek, during the nine-day Eid break.

Visitors can look forward to experiencing renowned attractions such as the mysterious Alutila tunnel, the picturesque hanging bridge, Tareng, and the stunning Richang waterfall, all of which are expected to be bustling with activity, just as they have in previous years.

The region's hotel and motel businesses are gearing up for a surge in bookings. In response to the anticipated crowds, dedicated tourist police forces will be deployed at major attractions to ensure visitor safety.

As in past years, tourism industry stakeholders are confident that the Eid holidays will bring an overwhelming number of nature lovers and travel enthusiasts to explore Khagrachhari’s hills, forests, and waterfalls.

While the district attracts tourists year-round, the Eid break is expected to see a substantial increase in numbers. Tourist spots across the district are fully prepared to welcome visitors, with additional security measures already in place, particularly at key sites like Alutila.

Zahidul Karim, Zone In-Charge of the Khagrachhari District Tourist Police, assured, "The tourist police is committed to ensuring the safety of all visitors. Our mobile teams will be regularly patrolling tourist spots, and security at all locations has been heightened."

With thorough preparations and strong security measures in place, Khagrachhari is poised for a vibrant and bustling tourism season this Eid, attracting visitors eager to experience the region’s natural beauty and cultural charm.
