A US business delegation has praised Bangladesh for its significant progress in digital transformation and expressed optimism about strengthening future cooperation.
The delegation met with Chief Adviser's Special Assistant for the Ministry of Posts, Telecommunications and Information Technology, Faiz Ahmad Taiyeb, at his secretariat office. The US trade team included Assistant US Trade Representative Brendan Lynch.
Faiz Ahmad Taiyeb highlighted ongoing IT sector developments and investment opportunities, stressing the importance of international partnerships to position Bangladesh as a technology and innovation hub.
The discussions covered bilateral trade and investment, cooperation in IT and telecommunications, data governance, electronic ID authentication, digital public infrastructure, cloud services, digital service ecosystems, personal data protection, and the potential of the digital economy.
