AI Key to Sustainable, Knowledge-Based Bangladesh: Minister
Water Resources Minister Md. Shahiduddin Chowdhury Anee has said AI should not be seen as a substitute for humans but rather as a tool to further enhance human capabilities.
Laying importance on proper application of artificial intelligence (AI) he said proper application of AI can build a build a knowledge-based, skilled, and sustainable Bangladesh.
Anee was addressing at a seminar titled "Education Research and Development in the AI Era" at BUET here today.
“With the passage of time artificial intelligence is advancing fast. AI is providing quick and efficient solutions to problems, he said.
Anee said, currently the use of artificial intelligence is increasing in various fields, including analyzing complex data, simulating various scenarios and providing instant knowledge.
He said, Prime Minister Tarique Rahman has focused on applying intelligence and modern, knowledge-based thinking in all areas of development. He urged everyone to explore how AI can be utilized in education, research, and development.
The seminar organized by BUET's Institute of Appropriate Technology (IAT) with BUET Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Ekramul Haque in the chair.
Pro-Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Abdul Hasib Chowdhury was present as a special guest. The keynote paper was presented by Professor Dr. Rafiqul Ghani, reports BSS.
