‘Gather with Farmers’ held in Kalapara

A gossip with marginal farmers was held at Kalapara on Tuesday 19 May 2026.

Patuakhali: An exceptional event “Gather with Farmers” was held in Kalapara, Patuakhali. This event, arranged with a touch of rural tradition amidst green nature, became lively in the presence of farmers, upazila administration, agriculture officials and local dignitaries. Marginal farmers from different levels of the upazila participated in the gather.

The event was organized on Tuesday late afternoon at the helipad field of the municipality by the initiative of the upazila administration and the agriculture department. The farmers present shared their experiences, problems and expectations.

UNO Kausar Hamid, Upazila BNP President Haji Humayun Sikder, Kalapara Press Club President Nesar Uddin Ahmed Tipu, along with agriculture officials, public representatives and people from different classes and professions were present.

Upazila Agriculture Officer Arafat Hossain said that such exceptional arrangements will continue in the future to further advance agriculture in Kalapara, known as a "multi-purpose agricultural paradise." - Gofran Palash
