Bangladesh receives record $3.29B remittance in March

Bangladesh has achieved a historic milestone with a record remittance inflow of $3.29 billion in March, marking a remarkable year-on-year growth of 64.7%. This marks the highest-ever monthly remittance inflow in the country's history, according to data from Bangladesh Bank (BB).


In March 2024, the country received $1.99 billion in remittances, highlighting the significant year-on-year increase. February 2025 had previously seen $2.53 billion in remittances, which was the fourth-highest monthly inflow at the time.

The highest remittance inflow prior to this was $2.64 billion in December 2024.

From July 2024 to March 2025, expatriates sent a total of $21.78 billion, up from $17.08 billion during the same period last year, further underscoring the positive trend in remittance growth for the current fiscal year.
