The senior BNP leader made the remarks while speaking at street meetings, held in various areas of Patenga, Chattogram this afternoon.
A large number of leaders, activists, common people, women, and youth participated in the mass meetings. The BNP senior leader said that people suffered during the previous government's tenure, with an increase in the cost of living and goods, and a lack of security.
He hoped that the elected government would restore normalcy and civil rights.
He said Sheikh Hasina attempted vote engineering but where is she now? We should learn from her example, he said, adding that false propaganda and vote engineering will not lead anyone to success.
Those who will try to disrupt the upcoming election will face challenges, he added.
