Tarique Rahman, Daughter Zaima Added to Voter List
BNP acting chairman Tarique Rahman and his daughter Zaima Rahman.
BNP acting chairman Tarique Rahman and his daughter Zaima Rahman have been officially included in the voter list for the upcoming 13th parliamentary election.
The information was confirmed on Sunday by party officials as well as the Election Commission’s public relations wing.
On Saturday, Tarique Rahman and Zaima completed their voter and National Identity Card registration formalities. Both applied online to be registered as voters in Ward-19 of Gulshan under the Dhaka-17 constituency.
Election officials said the registration process included the submission of required documents along with fingerprints, iris scans and other biometric data. The commission reviewed the applications and approved their inclusion following internal discussions.
Tarique Rahman returned to Bangladesh on December 25 with his wife and daughter after spending more than 17 years abroad.
