BNP announces possible candidates for 237 constituencies

Dhaka, Nov 3 - Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) on Monday announced potential candidates for 237 parliamentary seats with its Chairperson Khaleda Zia set to contest the election from Bogura-7,Dinajpur-3 and Feni-1 constituencies.

The announcement was made during a meeting of the BNP Standing Committee at the Chairperson’s Gulshan office.

BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman will contest the polls from Bogura-6 while Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir is set to run from Thakurgaon-1.

The names of the candidates for the rest of the seats will be announced through discussions with alliance partners.

The announced candidates may be changed after discussions with the alliance partners or the standing committee members may decide to change later. - UNB
