Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman

Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman declared today that the fight to establish a corruption-free Bangladesh, as envisioned by the martyrs, is far from over—it has only just begun.

Speaking at a gathering on Dakbanglow ground in Kulaura upazila, Rahman passionately stated, “This struggle will continue, and if necessary, I am prepared to sacrifice my life to fulfill the expectations of our martyrs.”

Rahman further highlighted the unjust persecution of Jamaat leaders, who, according to him, were wrongfully executed. He criticized the Bangladesh Awami League for closing the Jamaat offices for over 13 years and eventually banning the party altogether.

Emphasizing the significance of the recent student quota movement, Rahman clarified that it was a nationwide struggle, not confined to any single party or group. “It was a movement of the entire nation, led by the students. The credit for this victory goes to them. By Allah's grace, Bangladesh has been liberated from the hands of the oppressors.”

Rahman also expressed his solidarity with the Palestinian cause, stating, “We hope that Allah will also deliver Palestine from the oppression it faces.”

The event was attended by several prominent Jamaat leaders, including Md. Fakhrul Islam (Ameer of Jamaat-e-Islami Sylhet city unit), Habibur Rahman (Ameer of Sylhet district unit), Maulana Abdur Rahman (Acting Ameer of Moulvibazar district), Md. Yamir Ali (Secretary), Sirajul Islam, Advocate Abdur Rob, Maulana Aminul Islam, Shahin Ahmed Khan (Ameer of Dhaka Paltan unit), Md. Nizamuddin (President of Moulvibazar district Chhatra Shibir), and Atiqur Rahman Tarek (President of Kulaura upazila).

The event was chaired by Professor Abdul Muntazim, Ameer of Jamaat's Kulaura upazila unit.
