An open letter was sent to the president of the United States of America by 1419 professional Bangladeshi diaspora living in 39 countries to endorse their demand for the resignation of the illegitimate and failed interim government headed by  Dr. Yunus. The letter under the headline, Stand against Human Rights violations in Bangladesh,  also requested President Trump to facilitate Bangladesh's transition to democracy by holding a free and fair election with the participation of all political parties under a politically neutral Care-Taker Government within the shortest possible time.
