MP Mohib gets International Mother Teresa Award

Patuakhali: The 23rd International Mother Teresa Award was received by the member of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on the Ministry of Defense of the Jatiya Sangsad and the Member of Parliament of 114 Patuakhali-4 Constituency Alhaj principal Md. Mohibbur Rahman.

The award was presented at the Conrad Hotel in Dubai on the occasion of Mother Teresa's 113th birthday on Sunday (August 27). At this time, the dignitaries of Dubai along with the organizing authority were present.

This year, this award was given to Member of Parliament Alhaj principal Md. Mohibbur Rahman for his honesty, efficiency and special contribution in human service. At this time, he was given a Mother Teresa medal, a souvenir with Mother Teresa's photo, snacks and sweets.

Earlier in 1999, several top world leaders including Bangabandhu's daughter Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina received this award. Every year recognition and awards are given to eminent persons who have achieved excellence in education, science, culture, sports categories.

After receiving the Mother Teresa Award, MP Mohib told the media, "I am grateful to Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and Bangabandhu's daughter Deshratna Sheikh Hasina for the Mother Teresa Award. I have been following the ideology of Bangabandhu since childhood. I got the opportunity to work for the people of the country because I was made a Member of Parliament (MP) by the nomination of the leader of Awami League. So all the achievements of this award belong to Bangabandhu's daughter Deshratna Sheikh Hasina. This award will motivate me to establish Bangabandhu's Sonar Bangla and Smart Bangladesh under the leadership of mother of humanity Sheikh Hasina. - Gofran Biswas Palash
