President-elect Shahabuddin quits Islami Bank

Dhaka, Feb 14 -President-elect Md Shahabuddin resigned from the board of directors of Islami Bank Bangladesh Limited (IBBL), a top official of the bank said on Tuesday.
IBBL Managing Director Muhammad Munirul Mawla told UNB that Shahabuddin resigned from the bank on Sunday after the ruling Awami League nominated him for the post of president.
On behalf of JMC Builders, Chittagong, he was appointed as the director of the bank in June 2017, and was subsequently appointed as the vice chairman.
Shahabuddin’s name and picture have been removed from Islami Bank's website on Monday. - UNB
