BNP Standing Committee Member and Dhaka-2 lawmaker Md Aman Ullah Aman today said the people would not accept any threat or attempt by the fleeing fascist forces to create instability in the country, as politics associated with fascism has been restricted in the country.

“Those who fled the country after the fall of fascism will never be allowed to return. So, there is no point in issuing threats or attempting to create instability, as the people will not accept such acts under any circumstances,” he said.

The ruling party lawmaker made the comment while addressing the inaugural function of the ‘Farmers Card and Agricultural Input Assistance Distribution 2026’ programme in Keraniganj here.

Prime Minister Tarique Rahman virtually inaugurated the nationwide programme, which aims to provide genuine farmers with agricultural services, inputs, incentives and various forms of assistance in an easy and transparent manner.

Participating in the programme, the former DUCSU vice-president called upon all BNP leaders and activists to remain alert, saying those who had carried out repression, torture and killings of the people for the past one and a half decades would be handed over to the law enforcement agencies.

Aman Ullah Aman said the people voted for the BNP in response to the confidence inspired by BNP Chairman Tarique Rahman, adding that Prime Minister Tarique Rahman had kept the promises he made to the people.

The launch of the Family Card and Farmers Card programmes and the provision of honorariums to imams, muezzins, khatibs and other religious leaders proved that the BNP had kept its promises to the people, the lawmaker said.

A vested quarter is hatching a conspiracy to create instability in the country after witnessing its development and progress, he said, adding, “We must protect the democracy that was achieved through the sacrifice of several thousand martyrs.”

Upazila Nirbahi Officer Omar Faruque, agriculture ministry officials and representatives from the local administration were also present at the programme, reports BSS.
