3 BCL activists held with crude bombs in Khilkhet

Police have arrested three activists of the banned Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) on charges of carrying crude bombs during preparation of the procession in Kuril Bishwa Road area under Khilkhet Police Station in the capital.


The arrested have been identified as Md. Sagar (20), Redowan Khan Swadhin (21) and Md. Rabbi (22), said a police press release.

According to Khilkhet Police Station sources, some people were preparing for a procession under the banner of the BCL under the foot-over bridge adjacent to Kuril Bishwa Road under Khilkhet Police Station between around  08.50 am and 09.35 am today. 

Based on such information, Khilkhet Police Station conducted a raid with the help of the local people and arrested three people from the scene.

During the raid, three unexploded crude bombs were seized from their possession, reports BSS.
