Police arrest wanted criminal Red Munna in Pallabi

Police arrested an alleged robber and listed criminal during a special drive in the Pallabi area of the capital on Saturday and recovered a locally made sharp weapon from his possession.


The arrestee was identified as Md Munna, alias Red Munna, 36.

He was arrested at around 2:30 pm from the Bawniabad Muchipara area under Pallabi.

According to Pallabi Police Station, a police team conducted the raid based on a tip-off in Section-11 of the Bawniabad Muchipara area and arrested Munna. A sharp knife was seized from his possession during the operation.

Police said Munna has 10 cases pending before the court, including those involving narcotics, extortion, theft, assault, attempted murder, and violence against women and children.

Police said legal action has been initiated against the accused in connection with the arrest.

They added that such special drives will continue to maintain law and order in the area, reports UNB.
