Selection for U-16 age group held
Dhaka, 15 Apr - The selection of talented players for the Under-16 age group was held at the Kishoreganj District Stadium under the initiative of the National Sports Council, said a press release.
Kishoreganj District Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Mejabe Rahmat formally inaugurated the selection program as the chief guest.
Nearly 130 players from 13 upazilas of Kishoreganj district participated in ten events. Boys and girls were selected for handball, volleyball, basketball, kabaddi, weightlifting, cycling, judo, chess, gymnastics and cricket. Finally ten players were selected from the selection process.
To encourage the players, Kishoreganj Lazz Pharma distributed jerseys among the players. Members of Kishoreganj District Sports Association along with Lazz Pharma officials were present at the opening ceremony.BSS
