New York, 23 Feb  - Olympic champion Grant Holloway stormed to victory at the US Indoor Athletics Championships on Saturday, extending an 11-year unbeaten streak in the 60m hurdles to win in a world-leading 7.36 seconds.

Holloway, the reigning Olympic 110m hurdles champion and three-time world outdoor champion, blazed home ahead of Cameron Murray, who took silver in 7.41sec with Johnny Brackins third in 7.43sec.

The 27-year-old Holloway has been invincible over the indoor hurdles for more than a decade, suffering his last defeat in 2014 when he was still in high school. Saturday's win in New York was Holloway's 69th straight victory in the event.

The charismatic hurdles king will now be targeting a third straight world indoor title at next month's World Indoor Championships held in Nanjing, China.

Holloway's victory was matched by fellow Olympic hurdles champion Masai Russell in the women's 60m hurdles.

Russell, winner of the 100m hurdles gold in Paris last August, won her first US indoor crown in 7.74sec -- the fastest time in the world this year. Grace Stark took second in 7.76sec with Christina Clemons third in 7.81sec.BSS
