Bangladesh has etched its name into the Guinness World Records by flying the highest number of national flags simultaneously during a single parachute jump.

The record was achieved on 16 December 2025, marking Victory Day, when 54 Bangladesh flags were unfurled in the sky over Dhaka during a meticulously coordinated skydiving display. The rare spectacle symbolised national unity, bravery and professional excellence.

The historic jump was carried out by expert skydivers of the Bangladesh Armed Forces, including trained paratroopers such as Ashiq Chowdhury of the Bangladesh Investment Development Authority (BIDA). The entire operation was planned and executed under the supervision of the Armed Forces Division (AFD).

Officials said the achievement reflects the Armed Forces’ high level of training, discipline and commitment, while also serving as a tribute to the spirit of Victory Day and the country’s enduring sense of pride.
