Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus today urged everyone to take a proactive approach in maximizing the use of intellectual property and safeguarding copyrights to contribute to building a prosperous Bangladesh.

"To create a prosperous Bangladesh, it is crucial for all to actively engage in utilizing intellectual property and protecting copyrights," he said in a message marking World Intellectual Property Day, set to be observed tomorrow.

He also expressed his support for the celebration of "World Intellectual Property Day 2025" in Bangladesh, following the global tradition. "This year’s theme, ‘IP and Music: Feel the Beat of IP,’ holds particular significance for Bangladesh," he noted.

Dr. Yunus emphasized that the effective implementation of intellectual property laws and policies is essential for linking creativity, innovation, and economic growth, particularly within the music industry.

"Such measures will accelerate our cultural and economic development by combining art and modern technology," he said.

He also expressed hope that efforts would be made to foster a robust innovative culture in Bangladesh, enhancing its global standing in creative industries.

Dr. Yunus concluded by wishing success to all the activities organized to celebrate World Intellectual Property Day 2025.
