The Russian House in Dhaka hosted a seminar on June 19 highlighting the significant role of Soviet and Russian university graduates in Bangladesh’s socio-economic development.

The event commenced with welcome speeches underscoring the enduring impact of academic exchange between Bangladesh and Russia. Speakers noted that thousands of Bangladeshi professionals trained in Soviet and Russian institutions have played pivotal roles in advancing the country's industry, science, culture, and healthcare sectors.

In a special segment of the event, an exhibition of reproduced artworks from prominent Russian "Silver Age" artists was unveiled. Organized with the support of Rosatom State Corporation, the exhibition also commemorated the 80th anniversary of Russia’s nuclear industry.

The seminar brought together representatives from government bodies, public organizations, universities, students, cultural personalities, and members of the Soviet Alumni Association of Bangladesh, celebrating decades of educational and cultural cooperation between the two nations.
