BNP Standing Committee member Salahuddin Ahmed made the announcement on Thursday during a protest rally at Dhaka University, organized by the Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD). The rally, held at the Raju Memorial Sculpture, was part of an ongoing campaign to raise awareness about the situation in Gaza and Rafah, where Israeli forces have been accused of committing atrocities.
"On behalf of BNP, I am announcing that we will soon launch widespread protests across the country to condemn Israeli aggression and genocide, and to show our unwavering support for the Palestinian people," Salahuddin said.
The BNP leader condemned Israel’s actions, calling the Palestinian people among the most persecuted and oppressed in the world due to Israeli military actions. He also called on Muslim countries and global powers that support Israel to take immediate action to halt the violence.
Salahuddin urged the leaders of Muslim nations to unite and strongly denounce Israel’s ongoing attacks. "We demand that all Muslim countries, as well as the global powers that back Israel, act now to stop the genocide in Palestine," he stated.
He also criticized the United Nations for its inaction, claiming that Israel has consistently ignored UN resolutions and has shown no respect for international laws. "Whenever a resolution in favor of Palestine is passed, countries that support Israel use their veto power to block it," he lamented.
Salahuddin called on the international community to hold these superpowers accountable for their role in perpetuating the violence and aggression in Palestine, stressing the importance of global solidarity for Palestinian rights.
