Even on the holy day of Eid al-Adha, the Israeli military's assault on Gaza continues unabated. On this day alone, 42 Palestinians were killed across Gaza by Netanyahu's forces.

According to hospital sources cited by Al Jazeera, 42 Palestinians were killed in Israeli attacks in Gaza starting Friday morning.

A source from Nasser Hospital in Khan Younis reported that seven Palestinians were killed by Israeli shelling near aid distribution centers in the western and northern parts of Rafah in southern Gaza.

In light of these developments, the U.S.- and Israel-backed Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF) has announced a suspension of all humanitarian operations in Gaza until further notice.

Al Jazeera's report stated that while the morning of Eid was supposed to be a time of celebration, it turned into a stream of blood in Gaza. On Friday, local time, heavy casualties were reported due to Israeli attacks in several areas of northern Gaza, including Khan Younis. Aid operations in the region also remain suspended even on the day of Eid.

Meanwhile, a journalist injured in an Israeli attack on Thursday at Gaza’s Ahli Hospital has died. This brings the total number of journalists killed in Gaza since the war began to 226.

The World Health Organization has stated that Gaza’s healthcare system is on the verge of collapse. The only public hospital in the largest city, Khan Younis, is at risk of becoming non-operational.

On the same day, French Foreign Minister Jean-Noël announced his country’s commitment to recognizing Palestine as a state. However, he did not provide details on when such recognition might occur.

According to Gaza’s Health Ministry, since the war began on October 7, 2023, Israeli forces under Netanyahu’s leadership have killed 54,677 Palestinians. Hundreds of thousands more have been injured or displaced.
