Mymensingh post win in U-17 National championship
Dhaka, 20 Jan - Mymensingh U-17 district football team beat Tangail U-17 district football team by 2-0 goals in the U-17 National championship held at Jamalpur district stadium in Jamalpur Tuesday.
In the proceeding, Md Shafiq and Mushfiqur Rahman Sani scored one goal each for Mymensingh in the 5th and 25th minutes respectively.
Md Shafiq of Mymensingh was named the player of the match for his impressive performance in the match.
In the day's second match also held at the same venue, host Jamalpur U-17 district football team split point with Gazipur U-17 district football team when their match ended in a tame goalless draw.
Saiful Islam of Gazipur was named the player of the match for his outstanding performance in the match.
With this outcome, Jamalpur emerged group top with seven points while Gazipur finished group runners-up with five points, both confirmed their spot of semifinal.BSS
