Bangladesh drawn with China, Thailand and Vietnam

Dhaka,  10 NOV - Bangladesh has been drawn into Group A alongside host Thailand, China and Vietnam for the AFC U20 Women’s Asian Cup Thailand 2026, following the official draw  held in Bangkok Monday.

The 12 contenders, split into three groups, for the tournament will take place between April 1 and 18 next year.

Thailand, hosting the tournament for a second time, were drawn in Group A alongside China PR, Vietnam and debutants Bangladesh.

Group B will see reigning champions DPR Korea being challenged by two-time winners Korea Republic, Uzbekistan and Jordan.

Japan, who have won the competition a record six times, head Group C - with Australia, Chinese Taipei and India also hoping to advance to the next stage.

The top two teams from each group and two best second-placed sides will advance to the quarter-finals.

The top four finishers at the Finals will qualify for the FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup Poland 2026, with DPR Korea as the defending champions.
