Fire at Babubazar building under control

The fire that broke out at the multi-storey building near Babubazar Bridge in the capital has been brought under control.


The fire broke out at the 5th floor of the 14-storey building around 6:40 am on Tuesday, said duty officer of Fire Service and Civil Defence (FSCD), Shahjahan Hossain.

On information, nine firefighting units rushed to the spot and extinguished the fire around 8:10 am, reports UNB. 

However, what caused the fire could not be known immediately.
