BNP candidates take early lead in Manikganj-1, 2 and 3

BNP candidates are leading in all three parliamentary constituencies of Manikganj district, according to unofficial results received from a number of polling centres.

In Manikganj-1, results from 48 out of 179 centres show SA Jinnah Kabir of BNP (Sheaf of Paddy) securing 43,779 votes.

His nearest rival, Tozammel Haque (Horse), has received 23,230 votes while Abu Bakar Siddique (Scales) has obtained 20,621 votes .

In Manikganj-2 , BNP candidate Moinul Islam Khan Shanto (Sheaf of Paddy) is ahead with 59,712 votes in  46 out of 185 centres.

His rival, Md Salauddin (Wall Clock) has secured 25,581 votes.

Meanwhile, in Manikganj-3, Afroza Khanam Rita of the BNP  is maintaining a strong lead bagging 61,978 votes in 56 out of 151 centres.

Her closest competitor, Sayed Noor of Bangladesh Khelafat Majlish (Rickshaw), has received 23,346 votes, while independent candidate Ataur Rahman Ata (Football) has secured 5,474 votes, reports UNB.
