Per Capita Income Rises to $2,820 in FY25

The country's per capita income has increased to $2,820 in the current fiscal year (FY25), up from $2,738 in the previous fiscal year (FY24), marking a rise of $82, or Tk 35,109.

According to the latest provisional estimates, per capita income in FY25 reached Tk 3,39,211, based on an exchange rate of Tk 120.29 per US dollar.

The size of the gross domestic product (GDP) at current prices has risen to Tk 55,52,753 crore (equivalent to $462 billion) in FY25, compared to Tk 50,02,654 crore ($450 billion) in FY24.

The investment-to-GDP ratio stood at 29.38%, while domestic savings and national savings accounted for 23.25% and 29.01% of GDP respectively.

Despite the rise in per capita income, the economy recorded a 3.97% growth rate in FY25, down from 4.22% in the previous year, reflecting continued economic challenges.
