Adviser Salehuddin Seeks More IMF Loans for Forex Crisis

Finance Adviser Dr. Salehuddin Ahmed has requested increased financial support from the International Monetary Fund (IMF) to help Bangladesh navigate its current foreign exchange reserve crisis.

In a recent Zoom meeting with IMF Mission Chief to Bangladesh Chris Papageorgiou and Resident Representative Jayendu De, Dr. Salehuddin emphasized the need for additional loans as budgetary support. Finance Secretary Md. Khairuzzaman Mozumder also participated in the discussion.

During the meeting, Chris Papageorgiou assured Dr. Salehuddin that the IMF would review the possibility of providing further loans to Bangladesh.
