5.3 Quake Off Myanmar Coast Sends Tremors Into Thailand

A 5.3-magnitude earthquake struck off Myanmar’s coast on Saturday morning, with tremors reported across parts of neighbouring Thailand.

The quake was recorded at 10:39am, according to the US Geological Survey, which located the epicentre 267 kilometres west-southwest of Dawei at a depth of 10 kilometres.

So far, authorities have reported no casualties or damage resulting from the tremor.
