Members of the Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) in a drive arrested a man along with 60,000 Yaba tablets along the border area of Ukhiya upazila in Cox's Bazar district on Monday.

The arrestee was identified as Rashedul, 25, son of Mahbub Alam of Balukhali Nalbunia village in the upazila.

Acting on a tip-off, a team from BGB-64 Battalion conducted a drive in South Nalbunia, about 500 feet from border pillar No. 19, and challenged Rashedul, who was entering from Myanmar at around 4:40 pm, said Commanding Officer of BGB Ukhiya Battalion Lt Col Zahirul Islam.

The BGB members later recovered 60,000 Yaba tablets concealed in six cartons inside a fish basket and arrested him, reports UNB.
