565 dengue patients hospitalized in 24 hours

No new dengue-related deaths were reported in the country in the past 24 hours, though 565 patients were admitted to hospitals across the country during the period, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS). 


Of the newly hospitalized patients, 50 were admitted in Barishal division (outside the city corporation areas), 77 in Chattogram division (outside city corporation), 77 in Dhaka division (outside city corporation), 110 under Dhaka North City Corporation, 66 under Dhaka South City Corporation, 36 in Khulna division (outside city corporation), 36 in Mymensingh division (outside city corporation), 34 in Rajshahi division (outside city corporation), and five in Rangpur division (outside city corporation).

During the same period, 581 dengue patients were released from hospitals. With this, a total of 95,204 patients have recovered and been released from hospitals so far this year.

According to the DGHS, 97,313 people have been infected with dengue across the country since January. Among them, 62.4 percent are male and 37.6 percent female.

The total number of dengue-related deaths in the country this year stands at 394.
In 2024, Bangladesh recorded 101,214 dengue cases and 575 deaths, reports BSS.
