659 new dengue cases reported in 24 hours

For the second consecutive day on Saturday, Bangladesh reported no death from the dengue in 24 hours till this morning (October 25, 2025).


Meanwhile, six hundred and fifty-nine more new dengue cases were reported during the same period, bringing the total number of cases to 64, 297 this year.

According to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), new cases were reported as follows: 126 in Barishal Division (Out of CC), 104 in Chattogram Division (Out of CC), 170 in Dhaka Division (Out of CC), 124 in Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC), 57 in Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC), 31 in Khulna Division (Out of CC), and 47 in Mymensingh Division (Out of CC).

The number of deaths remained at 259, as no new fatalities were reported during this period, the DGHS added.

Currently, 2, 645 dengue patients are receiving treatment in hospitals across the country, reports UNB. 

Last year, dengue claimed the lives of 575 people.

According to the DGHS, there were 101,214 dengue cases and 100,040 recoveries in the same year.
