33 dengue patients hospitalized in last 24hrs

Thirty three dengue patients were admitted to different hospitals across the country during the last 24 hours till this morning.

"During the period, 18 patients were hospitalised in Barishal division, five in Chattogram division, three in Dhaka division, two in Dhaka North and five were admitted to different hospitals in Dhaka South," said a press release issued by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

The total number of case rose to 2,420, while 18 deaths from dengue disease were reported this year, reports BSS.

Last year, the total number of cases rose to 1,01,214, while 575 deaths from dengue disease were reported, the statement added.
